Diamond Jubilee Celebrations 31 May 2012

Our celebration day is on Thursday 31 May, just before the half term break.

  • There will be a special roast celebration lunch which we hope all children will enjoy.  The cost of the school dinner will remain at £2.10.

  • Crown competition – prizes for every class – make a fantastic crown at home to wear on the day.

  • Games afternoon – there will be time for afternoon board games/Golden Time  and an ice cream treat provided by Friends of Sebert Wood School (FOSWS).

Rwanda Links

The Rwandan National Olympic team will be using Bury St Edmunds as their base in 2012 and we are going to be learning more about this African Country and the lives of children there.

We welcomed Headteachers Patrick Kalisa and Sister Edith Uwimbabazi for a visit to Sebert Wood in December.

Year 4 children are learning about a form of Rwandan art in our thematic work - this is called Imigongo and it originates from Kibungo in South East Rwanda.

Watch out for their efforts in the year 4 base and classrooms.
