Circus Workshops and Shows 11 and 12 February

We end the half term with Circus Days for the school, nursery and pre-school. We are funding this event from FOSWS and school funds as we are aware that there have been fund raising events and a number of requests for contributions this year.

On their circus day children may come to school with faces painted and they may wear circus style clothing (e.g. spotty or stripey top).

 

Each day ends with a 'Circus Shop' run by our circus tutor - this helps keeps the cost down.

Earthquake in Haiti - Fundraising

Children have learnt about the sad consequences of the recent earthquake in Haiti this week in recent assemblies. Thank you for sending in so many wonderful cakes, there were enough for two days of cake stalls. We have raised £471.41 for the relief appeal - an amazing total!

'Fitness Friday DVD'

We are proud of the Suffolk Education DVD of Sport and Fitness at Sebert Wood and have enjoyed viewing it in assembly and after school. It features action and interviews with children, staff, governors and parents. This film will be distributed to Suffolk schools along with examples of good practice from other schools.

 

Spring Term 

We have lots planned for the Spring Term including Circus Skills Workshops, two visiting Theatre Groups, a FOSWS disco, Chinese New Year Celebrations, Fitness Fridays and an Easter Craft Day with Mums, Aunties, Grannies and other female relatives.
